California golf coach pleads guilty to molesting boys
A popular Northern California golf teacher pleaded guilty to molesting his students and plotting to kill them from jail by hiring a hit man, prosecutors said.Andrew Nisbet, 32, of Livermore, entered his pleas Thursday to seven felonies including murder solicitation, committing lewd and lascivious acts on a minor, and possessing child pornography, Alameda County District Attorney spokeswoman Teresa Drenick said.Under the plea deal, prosecutors dismissed nearly 80 felony charges that could have meant a life sentence for the golf coach.He's scheduled to be sentenced to more than 27 years in prison next month.PHOTOS: Local educators and coaches charged with child sex crimesNisbet, who is married, was accused of sexually assaulting three boys between the ages of 12 and 17 from 2009 to 2012.He was arrested in December a day before he was to receive a PGA award for his work with young golfers. He had worked at Las Positas Golf Course in Livermore since 2006. Nisbet's attorney, Timothy Rien, could not be reached for comment Thursday.
