Livermore is a city in Alameda County and part of the Tri-Valley which includes Amador, Livermore and San Ramon Valleys. Livermore is about 35 miles away from San Francisco and near some of the most exciting – and beautiful – urban areas in the world such as Berkeley, Oakland, and San Jose.
Livermore is also known as the oldest wine-producing area in Northern California’s famous Wine Country. This lovely area is characterized by a seemingly endless expanse of open space, rolling hills and stunningly beautiful vineyards that produce some of the more famous wines in California.
Livermore is a vibrant community that enjoys the best facilities and amenities in its city. Livermore Downtown is a gathering place for Livermore residents to eat, drink, shop, gather to visit with neighbors, and enjoy cultural activities in their hometown. Livermore's historic downtown district is a fun and entertaining place to stroll down.
Livermore’s beautiful downtown area is steeped in history, reflecting the cattle and wine industries that created and supported a thriving community for decades.
The downtown area has a very eclectic selection of restaurants and retail shops offering everything from home decor to gift items, fine wines, and, of course western wear.
Livermore Downtown is the location for many annual events and festivals. The Annual Wine Country Festival, Certified Farmer's Market, Holiday Parade, and Downtown Halloween Carnival bring people to the center of town all year round to celebrate the seasonal festivals and the fruits of Livermore’s agricultural heritage.
There is a loyalty program run by Livermore Downtown called the Downtown Club Program to encourage residents and visitors to shop and dine in downtown. It costs a $25.00 tax-deductible donation.
