Las Positas Golf Course
Livermore offers an exciting number of championship courses. One well-known and popular course is Las Positas Golf Course, which has 18 holes and is a championship course with 6,725 yards. Las Positas also has an executive course, which is being upgraded. Las Positas Golf Course was designed by Robert Muire Graves. The course opened in 1967 and has seven lakes, a creek and majestic trees throughout the course giving golfers a challenge.

Springtown Golf Course

The facility offers an enclosed, netted driving range as well as a café. The Springtown Golf Course is under a long-term lease and is operated by Sycamore Landscaping.
The Course at Wente Vineyards
There are many excellent golf courses in Livermore county. The Course at Wente Vineyards is extremely well loved by players. The Wente Vineyards course has 18 holes, almost 7,000 yards and a par of 72. It’s a public course.
More than a decade ago, Wente Vineyards joined forces with golfer Greg Norman to create The Course at Wente Vineyards. Their vision was to create Northern California’s premier destination championship golf course. The Course, has been voted Best of the East Bay by Diablo Magazine readers multiple times, and has become well known among golfers as one of the most beautiful and challenging course in Northern California. The Course’s 18 championship holes play through the vineyards, rolling hills, and natural grasslands of Wente Vineyards. It is designed for players of all levels.
Poppy Ridge Golf Course
Poppy Ridge Golf Course is another popular Livermore course that’s open to the public. The course designed by Rees Jones is reminiscent of the heathland courses of Scotland with rolling hills and verdant greens. Poppy Ridge Golf Course opened in 1996 and is frequented by many of the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) members who live within a 65-mile radius of the course.
It has 18 holes and is over 3,593 yards. Here, you’ll find a par of 36. The Merlot, Chardonnay and Zinfandel nines offer challenging and enjoyable golf for any level of player. Each nine measures about 3,500 to 3,600 yards from the black tees. Poppy Ridge offers spectacular views of the golf course and the stunning landscape of Livermore Valley. Poppy Ridge was rated by Zagat Guide as one of the top 15 courses in the nation for value. The course welcomes public play and recommends guests to join the NCGA to receive a 45-percent discount off the $110 public green fee.
